Cardell Bibb Pennix, 45, went home to be with Lord on Sunday October 6, 2013 following a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Born in Louisville, Cardell was a graduate of Jeffersontown High School (1987) and a Graduate of Brown-Mackie College (2011). He was a faithful member and worker at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church for his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Phillip Pennix and brother Vernon Hamby. Cardell is survived by his brother Edward Pennix (Michelle); nephews Steve, Vernon Jr. and Solomon, nieces Verquita and Grace, great niece and nephew, family, friends and his entire Mt. Olive Church family. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 10, 2013 at his church, 443 E. Kentucky St., with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum.
